SALT LAKE CITY, UT, December 3, 2024—Maxtec, a leader in oxygen analysis and delivery products, has announced the acquisition of the Bird™ MicroBlender from Vyaire Medical’s ventilator business unit. The Bird™ MicroBlender facilitates delivery of accurate FiO2 mixtures and is commonly used in a variety of applications such as anesthesia and supplemental O2 therapy in healthcare facilities, NICUs and transport.

The transfer of design and production of the Bird™ MicroBlender product line to Maxtec’s national production sites is currently underway. With an anticipated launch in mid-2025, all Bird™ MicroBlender and maintenance kits will be available for sale through existing Maxtec channels.
